NeuraPBX is an enterprise IP PBX with AI in the call path: an AI voice agent that answers and acts, AI receptionist, agent copilot, live transcription, spam screening, and compliance redaction. Now with a hotel module: rooms, wake-up calls, housekeeping and folios, on the same box. Run it 100% locally with Ollama + faster-whisper, or on OpenAI's cloud.

Eighteen AI features.
One toggle each. Zero restarts.
Flip them on from the dashboard's AI Feature Control. Some of them are shown below. Keep every byte of audio on your own hardware with Ollama + faster-whisper, or run on OpenAI's cloud. The five below are all generally available. Features still being built are marked Preview in the dashboard itself, with the exact limitation spelled out.
An AI receptionist that actually listens
No more "Press 1 for Sales." Callers just talk. The AI answers questions, detects intent, and transfers to the right human the moment it hears "talk to support."
- Natural conversation, customizable system prompt
- Seamless handoff to extensions, queues & ring groups
- Hours-aware: pair with time conditions for night mode
Every call becomes structured data
Whisper transcribes each recording, in the cloud or fully on-prem. The AI extracts summaries, keywords, action items, and sentiment, then POSTs the note to a webhook you configure. Wire that to your CRM directly or through Zapier/Make.
- Cloud or local: OpenAI, or Ollama + faster-whisper
- Summaries, tags & action items on every recorded call
- Webhook push to HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho or your own endpoint
An AI agent that answers the call and gets it done
Not a menu, and not a receptionist that only routes. The voice agent holds the conversation itself, and when the caller asks for something it acts on the PBX: it looks up a hotel guest’s stay and bill, sets or cancels their wake-up call, sends a request to housekeeping, takes a message for the desk, turns do-not-disturb on or off, or puts them through to a person. Talk over it and it stops and listens.
- Runs entirely on your server with local AI: faster-whisper, a local language model and Piper voices. No audio leaves the box.
- Starts answering in about a second and a half on a modern CPU. No GPU required.
- Tells callers it is automated before anything else, and every action is confined to the caller’s own room. Nothing it can do moves money.
- Greeting, disclosure, the facts it may state and where to send a caller it cannot help are settings on the dashboard, not code.
Voicemail → Email
Whisper transcribes new voicemails, the AI pulls out the caller's name, and the transcript lands in the owner's inbox.
Agent Copilot
Live transcription during calls with suggested answers, KB articles, and draft emails popped straight onto the dashboard.
Natural-Language IVR
Instead of "press 1 for sales", the caller just says why they're calling. The opening sentence is transcribed, classified into an intent, and the call is routed straight to the right place — with a real person as the fallback.
Compliance & PCI Redaction
Every call transcript is scanned after the fact for script deviations, and any card number or government ID spoken aloud is masked in the stored text. The card is kept to its last four digits so an agent can still reconcile a payment.
CRM Sync
Transcript, summary, and action items POSTed to a webhook after every call. Point it at your own endpoint, or reach HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho through Zapier/Make. No manual entry.
A PBX that knows who is in room 101.
Front desk, housekeeping and billing on the phones you already own.
The hotel module makes every room phone part of the property’s workflow, and a front-desk application for Windows and Mac means staff never open the full dashboard. Included with the Business and Enterprise plans.
Check-in to check-out
Check a guest in and their name appears on the room phone’s caller ID, the line opens for outside calls and the stay starts a folio. Check them out and the line closes to outside calls, do-not-disturb clears, pending wake-up calls are cancelled, the voicemail box is emptied and the folio closes with every call rated. Room moves carry the folio and the wake-ups along; suites keep every handset in step.
Wake-up calls
Set from the desk, from the room phone, or by asking the voice agent. Unanswered calls retry and then alert the desk. Group wake-ups for a tour party in one step.
Housekeeping
Room status set from the room phone with a code: clean, dirty, inspected, out of order. A live board for the desk, and a request queue the voice agent feeds.
Call billing & minibar
Tariffs by prefix with connection and per-minute charges, markup, tax and service charge. Minibar postings from the room phone. A credit limit that closes the line to outside calls, never to emergency numbers.
PMS integration
HMAC-signed webhooks on check-in, check-out, housekeeping, wake-up, charge and emergency events, so your property system stays the source of truth.
Emergency & safety
An emergency call from any room alerts the desk with the room number. Overstay alerts, an unregistered-phone report, and an emergency board with an all-rooms broadcast in the desk app.
Front-desk app for Windows and Mac
Rooms and occupancy, check-in and check-out, housekeeping, wake-ups, guest messages, folio and minibar, morning reports, and the requests the voice agent takes from guests. Operator accounts with desk-only privileges, no admin login needed. Download for Windows →
Your calls. Your hardware.
Nobody else's AI.
Flip the provider to local (Dashboard → System → AI Models) and the entire AI stack runs inside your network. No third-party AI provider ever sees your audio, transcripts, or caller data — and your core AI features stop costing tokens entirely.
- Transcription stays home: faster-whisper runs on your own hardware; call audio never leaves your network
- Every LLM task runs on your Ollama instance: summaries, sentiment, action items, copilot, and voicemail-to-email, all processed locally
- Your knowledge base never leaves the box: company docs are stored and searched on your own server to ground Copilot's answers

Need a few more than a plan includes? Add +25 extensions $129/yr or +2 SIP trunks $59/yr in the cart, billed with the plan, up to three extension packs.
A SIP trunk is a carrier connection, not a call path. One trunk carries many calls at once. Simultaneous calls are not licensed or charged for; they are limited only by your server and your carrier.
AI is included every paid plan · no per-seat fee · no usage charges
There is no separate AI subscription to buy and no AI usage metering of any kind. Run the models locally on your own hardware, or point them at OpenAI with your own API key — either way the inference is yours, and NeuraPBX never bills a minute.
*Preview. Both work, with limits worth knowing. Translation is consecutive rather than simultaneous, so each side hears the other a few seconds later. Voice biometrics matches voices but has no replay or clone detection, so treat it as one signal rather than proof of identity. Every Preview feature states its exact limitation in the dashboard. See what each AI feature does today →
Cloud AI uses your own OpenAI API key, so OpenAI bills you directly at their rates and NeuraPBX adds nothing on top. Local AI (faster-whisper and Ollama on your own hardware) costs nothing at all.
Own it forever. One machine, one payment.
One-time on-prem licenses: no subscription, no AI. The full core PBX feature set, installed with zero internet and cryptographically locked to one machine's MAC address.

A SIP trunk is a carrier connection, not a call path. One trunk carries many calls at once, and simultaneous calls are never licensed or charged for.
Perpetual license terms: A one-time purchase of the version available at the time of purchase, licensed to a single machine (bound to its Machine ID) and covering the core PBX only: no AI features. No recurring fees, and no guarantee of future updates, upgrades, new features, or included support. The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Moving the license to new hardware or obtaining version upgrades may be arranged separately. Summary only: full Terms apply.
Questions, answered.
Can NeuraPBX run fully on-premise?
Yes. That's the point. It runs entirely on your hardware or VMs, deployed via Windows/Linux install scripts or the pre-configured Docker stack. With local AI enabled, even transcription never leaves your network.
Do the AI features require OpenAI?
No. Bring your own OpenAI key, or run everything locally: Ollama (Gemma, Llama, Qwen…) for language tasks and faster-whisper for transcription. Providers switch live from the dashboard, no restart.
How do I toggle individual AI features?
From the Dashboard's AI Feature Control widget. All six features toggle independently and apply instantly.
How does licensing work?
You register a cryptographically signed license.key fingerprinted to your host machine. The free tier needs no license at all.
How many simultaneous calls can I make?
As many as your server and your carrier allow. NeuraPBX does not charge per channel. Plans are priced by extensions and SIP trunk connections, not by concurrent calls, so unlike per-channel licensing you never pay again at peak. A modest server handles roughly 100 concurrent calls with G.711 pass-through, and the media port range is configurable if you need more. Note that a SIP trunk here is a carrier connection, not a single call path. One trunk carries many simultaneous calls.
What phones and softphones are supported?
The native NeuraPBX Windows softphone, the browser web phone, any standard SIP client (Zoiper, MicroSIP), and auto-provisioned desk phones from Yealink, Grandstream, Polycom, Snom, Cisco, and Fanvil.
Who builds NeuraPBX?
NeuraPBX is built by NeuraPBX LLC, a company registered in Florida, and founded by Dr. Shakya Jayakody — whose doctoral research was on running large language models efficiently and reliably on real hardware, which is the hard part of putting AI in a call path. Since you are installing this inside your own network, it is fair to want to know who is behind it: read more about the company and the founder.
